Welcome in Magrè in South Tyrol

A view of the well in Magrè in the South Tyrol's South

The idyllic wine village Magrè at the wine route – called Margreid an der Weinstrasse in German - offers everything that epicures and nature lovers desire.

Starting from your hotel or the romantic holiday flat your are staying at you can easily explore the picturesque Favogna, the surrounding vineyards and the numerous cultural sights by foot – amazing views over the southern holiday region of South Tyrol are guaranteed. While adventurous rock climbers master the challenging but panoramic fixed rope route in Favogna, wine lovers must go to see the indigenous vine of Magrè, the so-called “Urrebe”; it is not only the oldest vine of South Tyrol but of all of Europe and even after 400 years of existence it still yields fruit. Also a stroll through the charming village centre is worthwhile – not least because of its Mediterranean flair and the narrow alleyways, the historic buildings, the stone-framed round arched windows and the ancient village fountain.

Nothing will keep you from spending a relaxing as well as a culturally and from a sportive point of view eventful vacation in Magrè.
